Liebherr crane climbs up tower
This is a powerful demonstration from Liebherr at the ‘Ratthaus’ in Vienna. As part of a tv show challenge, one of their crane operators uses a hydrolic crane to climb up a tall tower. Notice the caterpillars used to keep the tower in place.
It would be nice to have on of those in your backyard, wouldn’t it?

Will it Blend – Apple iPad edition
Oh yeah! Only a couple of days after the iPad sale has officially started the BlendTec team put their hands on a new iPad and did their famous test with it. Watch the video below to find out if the Apple iPad will blend or not.
Apple confirmed that on the opening day they sold over 300.000 iPads, and they are expecting to sell between 3 and 7 million of them in the first year, so they probably don’t really care about this one. A shame that it didn’t explode though
For those of you who never heard of the ‘Will it Blend’ concept, check out their website:

New Documentary about Kenny Easterday: Man with half a body
Kenny Easterday is amazing: He is able to move without legs, shins or knees. Now they are making a documentary about his life, according to the Daily Telegraph. Time to post some video material of this remarkable guy!
From telegraph.co.uk:
Kenny Easterday, 35, was born with a rare condition called sacral agenesis which prevented his spine from developing normally. When he was six-months-old doctors amputated his legs and used part of his shinbone to complete his partially formed spine.
As a boy Kenny was offered prosthetic legs but he hated wearing them and preferred to use his hands or a skateboard to get around. “My dad pretty much taught me how to walk on my hands,” said Mr Easterday, from West Virginia, USA.
Speaking in a documentary for TLC in the USA titled The Man With Half a Body, his father said: “I just told him to walk behind his mother, because she walks like a duck so just walk like her,”
(….)”

World’s largest model remote controlled aircraft
This thing is huge, noisy and heavy, but manages to stay in the air quite easily. It looks like it needs two people to fly it, too.
No idea what type of engines this thing has, and what it runs on. Anyone got an idea?

Scarface School Play: Tony Montana’s story performed by kids
This is really awkward: Some children performing the story of the movie “Scarface” on what looks like a school play. They don’t really use strong language like Tony Montana does in the movie, but the violence is still noticeably present.
Would you let your child perform in such a play?
Short car drag race in city street
This sure is a short drag race (they really shouldve kept the camera rolling a bit longer), but impressive nonetheless. I wonder if he is using some kind of nitrox system and what car he is driving. Anyone got a clue?
